At the beginning of the evening, participants energetically rolled into the Roundhouse Community Centre’s main exhibition hall. Each participant had a couple hours to ‘speed date’ with two dozen nonprofit organizations. Once the preliminary matching was complete, the volunteer was eligible to bid on artwork using their time rather than money. Winning bidders now have 12 months to complete their pledge to receive their artwork at the second Vancouver Timeraiser scheduled for September 2009. Find out more: www.timeraiser.ca
